Job Description
Summer Relief are assigned, by McKinley Paper, to work in various departments with cleanup around the mill, both inside and out. Rate of pay may increase when you complete training in your assigned department.
The summer vacation relief period is from May 1st, through September 30th. Summer and holiday vacation relief employees may be terminated at the end of the summer or holiday vacation relief period without reference to the other provisions of this Agreement.
When in this role some of the areas you may assigned to are:
Paper Machine
Stock Prep
Shipping
Purchasing
Tasks may include: forklift, landscaping, general cleaning, slabbing paper rolls, etc.
  • Awareness of and commitment to personal safety.
  • May be expected to drive a forklift, training provided.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Pass a drug screen, background check and physical fitness assessment.
  • Able to work with direction from Tour bosses, Senior Operators and Management Team.
Educational Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Working towards High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Exposure to outdoor elements when traveling on foot between facilities.
  • Schedules may be Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30 PM OR 12-hour shifts, 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required and directed.
