Job Description
Description/Job Summary


  • Must be able to operate and enter data into a computer system
  • Comply with plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices
  • Housekeeping
  • Any other job duties as deemed necessary by Staff Coordinator/ Staff Engineer
  • Efficiently and effectively identify and correct problem pallets
  • The dust covers in the packaging area should be checked periodically during the shift to ensure no damage occurs to the Ergon shuttle cars or the emergency detection bars on the floor. This should be a shared responsibility between the MHS Operator and the people in packing
  • Train and assist the operators in operating and using the automation systems which may affect them
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required
  • Repair or help repair any safety devices that may cause an accident or damage to the machinery immediately
  • Check cleanliness of Ergon P.C.'s - panels are free of dust and debris, and filters are clean
  • The buffer area behind the line in extrusion should be kept clean of film and debris
  • Correct data entry errors that have occurred during the shift
  • Clean shuttle racks of any plastic debris
  • Review information that is collected by the system at least twice per day. Any data that is incorrect must be investigated and made correct
  • Attends site training classes
  • Initiate work orders
  • Reset any alarms that affect the performance of the CMA equipment
  • Comply with all written and verbal safety rules
  • Able to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
  • Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills for the Pallet Island and finished goods warehouse
  • Assist winders in taking samples from jumbo rolls so to ensure the roll is closed in a proper manner and the scrap is removed from the warehouse
  • Document any charting modification or additions
