Job Description
General Summary
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Monitors and documents progress of preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and assigned projects to include; history, costs, compliance, safety issues.
    • Communicates with the Plant Operations Director/Foreman, information on preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, projects, problems with equipment, facility needs, code or compliance issues Communicates problems and down time.
    • Participates in quality improvement measures as directed. Insures that department meets codes and compliance issues with all regulatory agencies.
    • Plans work regarding carpentry tasks to include estimating cost of supplies and labor involved with the project.
    • Prioritizes routine and on-going preventive and corrective maintenance projects to meet the needs of the facility and to meet regulatory compliance.
    • Performs general carpentry work, preventive and corrective maintenance on walls, woodwork, tile, furniture, etc. keeping appropriate documentation.
    • Understands and adheres to all safety standards and safety precautions at all times. Uses Personal Protective Equipment when needed or as directed.
    • Keeps work areas, and assigned storage areas neat, clean, organized and free of clutter.
    • Maintains open communication with Phelps Health staff, managers who request services from Plant Operations, providing updates, progress, status and follow-up on work being done.
