Description

PeaceHealth is seeking a Painter - Facilities for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $25.83 – $38.74. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Performs all job functions generally associated with the painting trade.

What you will enjoy:

  • Serving as a mentor and provides instruction and training to fellow caregivers on safe and proper painting activities.
  • Estimating material needs and develops purchase requisitions.
  • Performing all general basic maintenance and repair tasks as required.

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Five years of commercial painting experience or equivalent
  • Post high school painting apprenticeship or other equivalent formalized training preferred.
  • Good visual color discrimination
  • Basic computer skills required.

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE

  • Work requires extreme, active physical exertion from 34 to 65% of the time.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration or attention to detail for 34-65% of the work time.
  • Work requires frequent exposure to conditions involving skin or lung irritants; extreme cold or heat; sharp instruments such as kitchen knives, scalpels, etc., or dangerous equipment. Requires frequent exposure to conditions involving toxic materials or hazardous waste. Reasonably anticipated that this position will be exposed to blood and body fluids on average of once a month or more. Requires the use of a Powered Air Purifying System (PAPR).
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or less.
