Packer- Night Shift Jobs

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Packer to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA at our High Street facility on the night shift. The required hours are Monday-Thursday 6pm-6am. As a packer, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere while responsible for their individual station. Key Responsibilities

• Rework items.
• Packs product into cartons, cans, and specialty containers.
• Requires basic math and reading skills.

• Labels boxes and barrels
• Gives breaks and lunches.
• Places carton, can or specialty container onto skid.
• Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Verifies package weight, code, dates, and price.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Responsible for training new packers.
• Prepares items when "extra"
• Inspects packaged items and alerts Machine Operator or Shift Supervisor of any problems.
• Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
• Cleans work areas.
• Moderate lifting (40lbs).
• Picks chips in processing room as needed.
• Examines packages for proper seal.
• Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
