The Packaging Supervisor is expected to support the Sr Packaging Manager in overseeing the Cold/Warm Gramming Teams in the Packaging Department. This person will ensure the responsibilities, rules, and QC standards are executed, with a commitment to 710Labs core values of Quality over Everything.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilize data to facilitate the timely, accurate interpretation, and reporting of performance, quality, and safety data.
- Facilitate project work and assure successful project implementation and completion within the parameters set forth.
- Meet with Sr Packaging Manager weekly to review department standings, goals, and needs.
- Ensure the team adheres to and complies with cannabis regulations and Quality Standards.
- Update all systems and ERP programs daily.
- Oversee the sanitation process of equipment and facility.
- Serve as a training resource for operations crew regarding skills, safety, and plant process/flow.
- Implement and enforce all QC processes throughout the department.
- Ensure any changes in processes and procedures are properly implemented.
- Coach, train and develop the Gramming Team to meet required production numbers with maximum efficiency.
- Analyze, report and complete daily production reports, continuous improvement initiatives.
- Direct and manage the operations to improve performance through continuous improvement methodology and problem analysis to reduce unscheduled downtime, process upsets, material quality losses.
- Facilitating and creating strong engagement with the multiple teams in the implementation of project initiatives.
- Check the quality of employees gramming and packaging procedures.
- Supervise and support the team Lead and Cold/Warm Gramming Employees during a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor inventory quantities and update the stock counts weekly.
- Support, participate in, and meet the Company overall Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures.
- Ensure adequate staffing, direction and corrective action.
- Oversee and direct the planning and execution of daily gramming/packaging activity.
- Direct employees in proper safety procedures and identify/eliminate avoidable accidents.
Qualifications:
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and develop effective solutions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and execute with excellence.
- Ability to facilitate change, foster innovation and results.
- 3+ years supervisory experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- 1-3 years experience in a packaging environment.
- Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical/problem solving/process improvement skills.
- Ability to work with the team on the floor with daily task including freezer/ cold environment
Compensation + Benefits
- Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, 401K with company match, paid time off, and holidays.
- Pay Range: $28.00/hour - $31.00/hour
