The incumbent is responsible for packaging Human Consumption food with the highest regard to quality and DATCP regulations to supply Premier Quality Material to our customers.


How you will make contributions that matter...


  • Assists other personnel as needed and will perform other duties essential to the department as requested.
  • Trained to run Protein Dryer.
  • Cover as Lactose Operator when needed.
  • Ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary atmosphere, with a high regard for food safety and environmental impacts.
  • Perform hook ups and CIP on the dryer equipment.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and work in elevated areas of the plant.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, nights, and additional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift to cover vacancies.
  • Ability to continuously lift over 50lbs during a scheduled work shift.
  • Ability to work indoors, and in dusty environments.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment shortfalls/failures, and repair tasks that may not require Maintenance Department.
  • Ensure accurate information of operating logs, metal detector, batch records and transactions are recorded.
  • Confirms each task is completed on time
  • Trained to operate the Lactose Evaporator.
  • Follows established department GMP’s, SOP’s and batch record instructions.
  • Attends various mandatory safety and departmental meetings.
  • Communicates in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.
  • Understand and follow all SOP’s.
  • Supports a culture that is consistent with Saputo’s values.
  • Trained to operate the dryer.

    • 3-5 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing, farming or agriculture environment is preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
    • Strong customer service focus is required.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required, related post-secondary training is an asset.
    • Attention to detail data entry into ERP Software
