The opportunity

Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking a skilled Package Operator to join our team at our Edison, NJ location.
We operate around the clock and have different shifts available that might suit your schedule!

• 3rd Shift Position: Monday - Friday 11:00 PM – 7:10 AM
• 2nd Shift position: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:10 PM
• 1st Shift Position: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM – 3:10 PM

As a Package Operator, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including checking-in material, transferring the material from staging area to packaging lines, cleaning of equipment and change parts, cleaning verification, providing material to equipment hopper, operating various equipment, transferring Finished Goods pallets and removing trash from the packaging line, and ensuring adherence to Teva's cGMP,Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
You'll be working with a variety of equipment, from acknowledging faults/alarms on equipment HMI (Human Machine Interface), staging the packing materials to operating the packaging line with team of workers and more. We're looking for someone who's reliable, proficient, and ethical in their work. If you're a stickler for accuracy and always aim to work according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), this role is perfect for you. You'll be working in a safe and ethical manner, in adherence with both DEA & OSHA regulations and company policies.

How you’ll spend your day

• Providing packaging components and bulk product to various packaging equipment
• Performs check/verification and required documentation in the packaging batch record/protocols as required
• Performing cleaning, cleanliness verification/line clearance on packaging equipment and packaging line
• Maintaining your area in an orderly and clean way during packaging operation
• Operating a palletizer/Pallet Jack
• Stacking Finished Goods cases on a pallet, Shrink-wrap the finished goods pallet and transfer the pallet to warehouse
• Working with Packaging Equipment, Change Parts and adhering to Line Cleaning processes Filling out room/equipment logbooks as needed

Your experience and qualifications

• Experience with serialization and aggregation system preferred
• Frequently lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• High School diploma or GED required
• Frequently required to walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, and or crouch
• Previous solid dose packaging experience preferred
• Regularly required to stand up to 8.0 hrs
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in FDA regulated packaging environment desired
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
