Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from university or college in social work, counseling, psychology, special education, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Positive attitude with high energy that has genuine interest and understanding about Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Ability to work independently and creatively with little direction from supervisor.
Dependable, detailed oriented, organized and punctual.
Must be a team player with strong communication skills and flexibility when needed.

Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree from a university or college in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Special Education or related field.
Prior experience in facilitating social skills groups for individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred.

Position Purpose
Lead social skills program development and implementation with the goal of improving the quality of life of participants with Autism and their families

Job Duties
Individual needed to lead social skills groups for children, teens and adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Includes supervision of all participants at the program, implementing positive behavior supports when needed and communicating with the Program Coordinator on a consistent basis. Each class will be delivered on a weekly basis and could enroll up to 10 participants. Based on enrollment, multiple classes could meet weekly.
