About St. David's Foundation


St. David's Foundation is one of the largest health foundations in the United States, funding $80 million annually in a five-county Central Texas area. Through a unique partnership with St. David's HealthCare, the foundation reinvests proceeds from the hospital system back into the community, with a goal of advancing health equity and improving the health and well-being of our most underserved Central Texas neighbors.


About The Position


The Oral Health Program Manager develops and manages the Foundation's Oral Health Program, including the management and coordination of oral health education presentations and demonstrations, oral health research, oral health education training and workshops, and the development of oral health materials.


The Oral Health Program Manager promotes, maintains, and improves the oral and general health of children and families in Central Texas through the use of a bilingual, school-and-community-based education curriculum and interventions.


The Oral Health Program Manager reports to the Senior Dental Operations Officer and will work closely on health promotion techniques and oral health education knowledge.


Required Qualifications


  • Minimum of five (5) years of developing and leading a successful oral health education program, or other relevant health-related field experience.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills, including speaking in public forums, and
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write fluently.
  • Bachelor's degree in social science or health-related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of oral health and its effects on communities.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to multiple work sites within five (5) Central Texas


counties.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in oral health education, program, or other health-related field.
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
  • Minimum of four years of health-related field experience.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Access.
  • Minimum of two years of applied clinical dental experience.
