We are seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to lead, analyze, design, develop, and implement modules relating to the fulfillment of NC Financial System and Public-School Unit. You will work in a complex data environment and partner with the business and IT to find creative data solutions to business problems. Candidate must be local to Raleigh, NC. This is a part time position

Responsibilities

  • Use Oracle APEX.
  • Develop, test and support solutions utilizing Oracle RDBMS.
  • Interact with client/end users to understand requirements/regulations/reports/environment issues.
  • Maintain project documentation and follow SDLC process obligations.
  • Lead and support tasks on engagements related but not limited to Systems Implementation, Operations & Maintenance, and Software Application Development.
  • Work with business owners and project manager to assess impact and provide estimates.
  • Lead, analyze, design, develop, and implement modules relating to financial systems.
  • Participate in process analysis to help produce and refine requirements and create technical solutions.
  • Database performance monitoring, SQL tuning and analysis, troubleshooting, and data concurrency analysis.
  • Evaluate, understand, and implement detailed business, functional, and non-functional technical requirements (including recovery, security, data volumes, performance and audit).
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications, reports and data structures needed for line of business applications in an Oracle environment.
  • Write Stored Procedures, Queries, Views, and ad hoc Reports.
  • Work with application teams and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with relational databases (including tables, views, indexes, table spaces).
  • Experience determining the best design approaches.
  • Experience with planning of system and development deployment responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
  • Experience with Oracle API’s and PL/SQL.
