Job Description
  • Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Program in PL/SQL.
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases.
  • Tier One Technologies is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong administrative and technical knowledge to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with large, multi-node RAC environments.
  • Knowledge or experience with Oracle on Windows.
  • PROVEN experience with Oracle 19c databases.
  • Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Familiarity with architecture, both logical and physical design.
  • Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Database Upgrades to include working with project managers and managing individual projects for DB upgrades.
  • Maintains security and integrity controls.
  • Backup & Recovery.
  • Shift will be Thursday / Friday – 300pm – 1130pm ET and Saturday / Sunday 700am-700pm ET. Must be willing to work an on-call shift in rotation.
  • Ability to provide support for PostgreSQL.
  • Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks.
  • Query and performance tuning.
  • Install and Build database structures.
  • 6+ years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RAC and other Oracle tools.
  • Performance tuning of databases.
  • Reviews database design and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
  • Support customers during code deployment.
  • Develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • MUST be flexible and willing to work overnights and weekends as needed.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts.
  • Maintaining Standby Databases.
  • Apply patches and upgrade database versions.
