Job Description
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with architecture, both logical and physical design.
  • Performance tuning of databases.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work on-call, overnights and weekends as needed.
  • Install and Build database structures.
  • Backup & Recovery.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts.
  • 6+ years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RMAN, OEM, and RAC.
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
  • Query and performance tuning.
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Program in PL/SQL.
  • Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Maintain security and integrity controls.
  • Apply patches and upgrade database versions.
  • Review database design and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
  • Develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Proven experience with Oracle 19c databases.
  • Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Tier One Technologies is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with RAC and 19c experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position does allow for flexible remote work, but candidates MUST be willing to report in person to Raleigh, NC for the first 2-3 (estimated) days to pick up equipment and ensure that all access is available. After these initial days they would be able to work remotely.
  • Database Upgrades to include working with project managers and managing individual projects for DB upgrades.
  • Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases.
