Job Description
We are looking for an Optician to join our growing Salmon Creek team! As part of our team, you work directly with patients to fit and adjust new glasses and eyewear based on their individual prescriptions, lifestyle, and needs. Ensure all orders are received and dispensed as prescribed. Deliver knowledgeable instruction regarding fit, use, and care of new eyewear. Provide adjustments and repairs to the patient's current frames. Our ideal candidate has prior experience in an optical environment, outstanding customer service and multitasking skills, knowledge of HIPAA, optical terminology, frame styles, and lens material options.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm


Requirements


  • ABO certification preferred or acquire within one year of hire. Must obtain WA State Optician Apprentice credential while not ABO certified.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a dispensing or fabricating optician preferred.


Pay Range


$23.51 - $32.91

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
