General purpose of the job


Perform any and all tasks assigned by the Production Control Supervisor taking a personal interest in personal and team safety.


Individual Accountabilities


  • Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment. This requires working in confined areas with temperatures in excess of 110°F.
  • Participate in and complete Production Operator Certification program.
  • Correct any and all malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to coordinator if corrections cannot be made.
  • Utilize all safety equipment, personal or otherwise, required by the company and follow all company guidelines safety standards. Attend all safety meetings as scheduled.
  • Cleaning of the preheater in a safe manner when required. This involves working in temperatures of up to 120°F, wearing heavy insulated clothing and heavy lifting of water blaster.
  • Safe and proper operation of plant mobile equipment to include but not limited to front end loaders, skid steer loaders, and fork lifts. This includes inspection of each piece of mobile equipment. Completion of inspection sheet is required.
  • Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheet and report problems immediately to shift coordinator.
  • Perform small refractory patches.
  • Taking accurate and reliable silo measurements as required.
  • Cleaning of the preheater in a safe manner when required. This involves working in temperatures of up to 120°F, wearing heavy insulated clothing and heavy lifting of water blaster.
  • Make any and all repairs that are needed within your capabilities, including welding.
  • Participate in and complete Production Operator Certification program.
  • Perform any and all tasks assigned by the Production Coordinator.
  • This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice. The rotation is 12 hour shifts with a turnover period.
