Responsibilities Serves as an Operations Support Officer in the Task Force Support Office, Policy, Programs, Security and Intelligence Unit, OPSEC/Intelligence Team. Senior expert for planning, organizing, evaluating, maintaining, administering, and establishing funding for the Specialized Sensitive Support Program including supported organizations and field activities. Direct Specialized Sensitive Support services efforts regarding the development, integration, sustainment, of assigned projects/programs. Participates in program and project planning efforts to evaluate Specialized Sensitive Support requirements, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend countermeasures to include application of tailor-made support techniques. Develops and establishes an efficient and economical team structure which best serves mission needs by providing the optimum balance between economy, efficiency, and organizational priorities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for an Operations Support Officer your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Responsibility for providing Specialized Sensitive Support services associated with developing, evaluating and implementation of training and technical concepts, policies and procedures for Security, Intelligence, and Operations Security (OPSEC) support to specified government components. Assisting with Operations Security (OPSEC) program support. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Additional Information Physical Demands: The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking over rough or uneven surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (50 pounds or less) when regularly supporting operations, personnel, and facilities. Work Environment: The work is primarily in an office setting, however, regular and recurring work involving site visits, agency interactions, inspections, and mission support involve exposure to the following: moving parts, carts, or machines at construction or other work sites where equipment is being installed and/or removed. Inspection work requires hardhats, safety shoes, or similar protections when exposed to moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions such as wearing protective clothing or gear such as boots, goggles, gloves, boots/shoes or shields.
