Operations Management Intern (Demand Forecasting Focus) - Summer 2023

We are seeking an Operations Management Intern to join our Oroville, CA team this summer. This role will have a project focus in the area of DEMAND FORECASTING. The Management Internship will allow you to gain valuable business and leadership skills, as well as an understanding of what it takes to run a successful branch business. You will take part in rotations with Customer Service, Delivery Drivers, Service Technicians, Sales, Branch Management, Area Directors, Regional Vice Presidents and more! These rotations will put you in the middle of the action, learning how to work with customers, dispatch drivers, deliver and sell product and handle the everyday challenges of the propane industry.

What you can expect:

• An individualized project with presentation to leadership at the end of the internship period
• Meeting Executive Leadership such as CEO, COO, CFO, and the General Counsel
• Meeting Vice Presidents and other corporate level leadership throughout the company
• A comprehensive training schedule
• Connection and collaboration with other ThompsonGas interns throughout the country
• Follow up time with branch leadership as well as Human Resources
• Consideration for employment in the ThompsonGas Management Training Program, upon graduation

Education and Experience:

• Must be a rising Senior enrolled in relevant college level courses
• Proven track record of activity in clubs and organizations (leadership roles a plus)
• Customer Service or Sales experience a plus (i.e. retail, call center, hospitality, etc.)
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to commit to 10-week program
