Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join our team. As an Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external teams. This role will collaborate with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to collect, analyze, and interpret data to improve policy holder experience; as well as identifying areas of improvement relative to day-to-day operations. Your insights and recommendations will play a critical role in streamlining operations, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing overall business performance.


This position requires a strong understanding of how technology impacts the insurance industry. The Operations Analyst should have a working knowledge of insurance operations including, new business processing, agent licensing & appointment, commission processing and post issue policy service. The person in this position should be able to give input into and follow applicable business processes and procedures in order to maintain compliance with daily insurance operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Agent & Client Portals
  • Participate in the update and creation of service forms and policy assembly instructions as we add additional products.
  • Contribute to the report and audit of key metrics, as well as to the automation of reporting and executive dashboards.
  • Collaborate with staff to design enhancements to allow for the portal’s accessibility, ease of use, provide additional information and streamline current processes.
  • “Customer” refers to policyholders, agents, representatives, marketing organizations and internal customers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to find and implement improvements (cost, time to deliver and quality) to existing processes.
  • Tasks associated with our third-party vendors include changes and annual compliance reviews (Hexure, EBIX).
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact with other teams and individuals to make business recommendations.
  • User Acceptance Testing for releases.
  • Work closely with channel specialists (Sales/Marketing), to support marketing campaigns and Distribution management. Familiarity with SalesForce.com or similar CRM solutions.
  • Aid in the monitoring of service levels established for the TPA regarding all policy related services.
  • Responsible for overseeing that customer and management expectations are met or exceeded, relative to day-to-day insurance policy service.
  • Other duties as needed or required.


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to break down complex problems into manageable components.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience managing and working in cross-functional teams including external partners.
  • Strong business acumen especially in the annuity business.
  • Working knowledge of insurance or other sales hierarchy structures.
  • Experience with state insurance producer appointment process
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently set stretch goals and hit targets.
  • 4+ years’ experience working with insurance processes.
  • Assess and manage risks quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience with direct customer interaction.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and reach reasonable conclusions.
  • Think independently and strategically.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4+ years’ experience working with independent sales organizations.
