Job Description

Operations Analyst

Location: East Chicago, IN (On-site)

What We’re Looking For:

You have a strong work ethic, are reliable, and consider yourself a go-getter. In this role, you will support manufacturing and management by performing data analysis to model data with the goal of discovering useful trends to support decision-making. You will work with shop floor Leaders, Production Engineers, and Design Engineers to develop effective countermeasures. By utilizing data you will assist in finding proactive approaches to improve training to prevent repeat problems in manufacturing processes.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex problems
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
  • Proficient Computer skills - using Microsoft Office

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Job shadow and network in different areas throughout the organization.
  • Work to improve (Kaizen) manufacturing processes by improving safety, quality, productivity, and reducing costs.
  • Complete proposals and regularly present status updates on projects.
  • Interact with associates to find ways to make their jobs easier.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues as needed.
  • Collect and analyze operations data to determine weak points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data to identify root cause(s) and suggest/implement countermeasures.
  • Act as liaison between manufacturing and other departments as needed (engineering, purchasing, project management, quality, and safety).
