Operating Room Nurse Jobs

Overview PSV is a unique multispecialty outpatient center for children. They are seeking an experienced OR Nurse to work in their established, Ambulatory Surgery Center that focuses on quality pediatric specialty care. The OR RN’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

• BSN
• Communicating with pre-op and PACU departments to ensure a safe perioperative experience
• Assisting as needed with inventory and restocking supplies
• Working with the intraoperative team to provide a safe environment for patients
• Scrubbing experience
• Patient assessment, positioning, prep, and thorough, accurate documentation
• Checking and monitoring all equipment used during surgery
• Current BLS certification
• Graduated from an approved school of nursing
• Using infection control practices and sterile technique
• PALS/ACLS
• Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Required
• Circulating or scrubbing during surgery
• All employees must pass an employment TB, drug and physical exam Desired Qualifications
• Experience with EMR
• Two (2) years OR experience
• Registered Nurse currently licensed in Virginia
• Pulling cases and ensuring surgeon needs are met for procedures
• Assisting with anesthesia as needed
• OR set-up, turnover, and end of day break down
