JOB SUMMARY:
The Online Merchandising Data Specialist provides administrative and data-driven support to assist in the successful implementation of Corporate Studio initiatives. This role is heavily involved in the data management and implementation of studio and purchasing initiatives in relation to the company’s Envision software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Management
  • Perform data validation tasks. This includes checking data for accuracy and completeness, and resolving any errors that are found.
  • Prepare divisional data for Envision/HB1 software. This includes cleaning up data, mapping it to the correct fields in the software, and ensuring that it is consistent with the requirements of the software.
  • Support cross-functional teams in preparation for Envision data conversion activities. This includes working with teams to understand their needs and providing them with the support they need to convert their data to Envision/HB1.
  • Other duties as assigned. This includes any other tasks that are related to data management or the Envision/HB1 software.
  • Test software enhancements. This involves testing new features and bug fixes to ensure that they work as intended.
  • Manage the Design Center and Option Manager. This includes creating and updating designer collections, auditing divisional option data, and reporting, completing all manufacturer linking, assigning all flooring and wall tile, creating and linking divisional builder products, and creating presale links for kbhome.com.
  • Act as subject-matter expert in Envision online studio and HB1. This includes learning the software, understanding how it works, and being able to answer questions from users.
  • Work with corporate marketing to have pictograms created when needed. This includes working with marketing to understand their needs, and creating pictograms that meet their requirements.
Implementation and Training Support
  • Assist in the delivery of Envision training cross functional division personnel as needed. This includes leading training sessions, providing one-on-one support, or creating training materials.
  • Support division implementation of Envision software. This includes working with teams to understand their needs and providing them with the support they need to implement Envision software. This may involve providing training, helping to configure the software, or resolving technical issues.
  • Online Studio Consultant Concierge. This role is responsible for providing support to Studio, Sales, Customer Service, Superintendent, and Purchasing teams during the implementation of Envision software. This includes answering questions, providing guidance, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Review training documentation for corporate and cross functional division personnel. This includes ensuring that the documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and that it meets the needs of the users. This may also involve making suggestions for improvement.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Marketing, Procurement, or related discipline preferred.
Experience
  • Prior experience in Real Estate industry preferred, ideally in Residential Homebuilding.
  • 2-3 years home builders experience, preferably in design studio and or options purchasing.
  • Prior experience in Procurement and options data management is a plus.
  • Prior Envision Experience is ideal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team: including working independently on projects, as well as collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
  • Action-oriented, with the drive to push projects and tasks to successful closure.
  • Strong ability to work within a team setting, inclusive of others ideas, and a willingness to cooperate.
  • Ideally have experience with Envision software or like: Experience using Envision to create and manage designs, as well as provide training and support.
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy for all assignments, especially those that are shared with both internal business users and external customers.
  • Base understanding of consumer behavior in a retail environment.
  • Technically strong and able to adapt to the use of varied software applications and learn new systems, as required.
Work Requirements
  • Position will be working remotely up to 70% of the time for the foreseeable future, candidate should be located near a KB Home location, preferably in Phoenix, AZ or Pomona, CA. for onsite work when necessary. Position may revert to working at a KB work location full-time in the future.
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the US.
  • 8-hour workdays with flexibility to work overtime when needed; may include some work on weekends or holidays dependent upon business needs which would be communicated in advance when possible.
