Responsible for providing massage therapy services to UNM SHAC students from diverse backgrounds. The candidate will evaluate and treat assigned clients and apply a range of appropriate therapeutic treatments. These treatments will include therapeutic massage, medical massage, chair massage and energetic treatment modalities. Will accurately and efficiently document the client’s plan of care. The candidate will be expected to adhere to UNM SHAC policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and client safety.
This is an on-call position working approximately 10 hours per week. A regular weekly schedule will be required for patient continuity.
- A High school diploma or GED and successful completion of Therapeutic Massage school plus 180 hours of post-graduation practicum; at least 2 years of post-license experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Licensed massage therapist in the state of New Mexico.
- Certifications/License, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).
- Current CPR
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
- CPR Certified.
- May be required to submit to annual TB and rubella screening.
- Subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status if required by third party payers or accrediting agencies.
- UNM will provide Hepatitis vaccination, candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous employer.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to do electronic charting and finish therapy notes in a timely manner.
