On-Call Culinary Professional Jobs

Work as an on-call Culinary Professional in Land O’Lakes Culinary Center supporting both the retail and food service test kitchens initiatives. Looking for an individual with strong culinary skills, obtained by working in a food service kitchen or catering business. Your culinary skills will be leveraged for product testing, preparing food for customers meetings and conference, recipe development, and concept testing.

Must have skills:

• Demonstrate a strong background in basic food service culinary techniques and cooking methods.
• Have interest and/or skills in food styling or food photography.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly document work process and details electronically
• Ability and desire to taste, critique and provide honest feedback on a variety of food service products, recipes, and ingredients throughout the workday.
• 2 or more years or working with food directly either in a food service kitchen or in catering business Culinary Degree or a B.S. in Food Science or related field preferred
• Demonstrate a true passion for cooking, food, and flavors.
• Equal interest in the science of cooking and the artistic elements of cooking.
• Understand the safe operation procedures of standard food service equipment.

Your culinary skills will be leveraged for the following:

• Prepare and organize food for product and recipe demonstrations.
• Develop and test recipes and provide clear and accurately written preparation directions.
• Prepare food for photo and video shoots.
• Product usage testing includes data gathering, evaluation, interpretation, and written documentation of findings.

Position is a flexible on-call position, no guaranteed hours, work is based on business needs.

Must be available Monday-Friday between 8am and 4pm and be able to at work at the Land O’Lakes, Inc., Arden Hills, MN office
