On-Call Armed Security Guard Ii (Part-Time)

We have an excellent opportunity for a part-time Armed Security Guardin our Baldwin Park, CAoffice and warehouse. The Security Guard will help maintain the safety and security of In-N-Out Burger’s warehouse and distribution facility in Baldwin Park.

General Responsibilities

• Conduct routine surveillance; perform security patrols, protocol and contingency operations
• Possess good judgment in handling day-to-day operations
• Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
• Perform all duties with pride; work well in an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation
• Screen and log all visitors entering and exiting the complex
• Serve as greeter for all visitors to the facility
• Provide excellent customer service maintaining friendliness and professionalism at all times
• Understand all aspects of guard monitoring including controlling entrance points, conducting foot patrols, engaging emergency procedures, and monitoring cameras and alarm systems
• Maintain the safety and security of the Baldwin Park facility and grounds
• Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property
• Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency

Work Schedule

• Schedule: Usually 2-3 shifts per week
• Pay Range is $23.75 to $27.50 per hour The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors
• Part-time benefits include: Dental, Vision, Prorated Vacation and Sick time, voluntary supplemental benefits, and 401(k) retirement plan (after meeting eligibility requirements)
• Facility location – Baldwin Park, CA
• Potential for additional shifts as needed
• Part-time position, Hourly (non-exempt)
• Work hours/shifts - the Baldwin Park facility operates 24-hours, 7-days a week. Shifts may include days, swings, and nights
• Weekend and holiday scheduling is required

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and able to work without constant direct supervision
• Valid Guard Card required
• Possess strong communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• A qualification in security training is preferred
• Valid California Driver’s License required
• Firearm permit required
• Prior military experience and/or current or past experience as an armed guard preferred
• Security guard experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills; Security Guards greet everyone entering the front gate and are responsible for welcoming our guests and visitors with the kindness and friendliness befitting of In-N-Out Burger

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
• Prolonged periods sitting or standing
• Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly
• Physically able to detain individuals if necessary
