Summary:
Goldbelt CP Marine, LLC is looking for a Onboarding Specialist whose work will include developing a strategy and implementation plan for preboarding and boarding new staff and off boarding departing staff assigned to the NMNH, Museum Support Center and Ft. Pierce Marine Station Program. The approach will enable virtual, in-person and hybrid delivery of the full onboarding, boarding and offboarding program.
HYBRID REMOTE ELIGIBLE POSITION - Must be located in the Washington, DC area and willing to work on-site at least 3 Days per week.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Design and conduct assessments formulate recommendations for improvements to reach and sustain goals, while tracking staff diversity and attrition rates
  • Short-and long-term scheduled activities to ensure timely events and acculturation
  • Develop phased timelines and schedules of staff engagements, learning events, communications strategies, welcome packets, onboarding handbook, collaboration and partnerships with museum leadership and appropriate external stakeholders
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities, definitions, training plan, course curriculum, templates, check sheets pre-boarding, boarding and off boarding packets, design the exit interview
  • Assist new employees as they joining the company, and help them learn policies, explain duties, plan to join dates, and complete the necessary paperwork
  • Provide various program reports for monitoring program and project management, ensuring work remains within budget and schedule.
  • Strategic onboarding programs that ensure the entire workforce is prepared for the roles
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; both verbal and written
  • Skilled in describing high level staff development strategy setting goals and objectives.
  • MUST have working knowledge of HR practices and labor legislation - specifically with Federal and OPM hiring processes.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and labor legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software products
  • Demonstrated experience delivering instruction.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Skilled collaborator successfully builds partnerships with leaders and staff at all levels of an organization.
  • MUST have experience working in the Federal environment / OPM
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience
  • Experience with designing or managing an orientation and onboarding program of a complex organization with staff located across multiple states.
  • The ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience measuring and managing program performance.
  • Experience with Onboarding - assisting new employees as they are hired, explaining duties, help completing necessary paperwork.
  • US Citizenship

  • Bachelor's Degree
The salary range for this position is $75,000/yr to $95,000/yr
