Onboarding and Internal Communication Specialist (Recruiting, Onboarding, and Payroll)

Company Overview:

Malu Productions is a dynamic and fast-growing entertainment production company that specializes in creating captivating content for various platforms. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team in the role of Onboarding and Internal Communication Specialist. This position is specifically focused on recruiting, onboarding, and payroll processes, working closely with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and contractors to ensure smooth operations and effective communication with new recruits.

Role Overview:

As the Onboarding and Internal Communication Specialist, you will play a critical role in attracting, onboarding, and integrating new talent into our organization. You will work closely with the HR department and our PEO to streamline and enhance the onboarding process, ensuring that new recruits have a positive and seamless experience from their initial contact with the company through their first few months of employment. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with new recruits, ensuring their questions are addressed, and acting as a liaison between various departments and the PEO to facilitate efficient payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

- Collaborate with the CEO and PEO to develop effective recruitment strategies, including job postings, screening, and interviewing processes.

- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork, background checks, and pre-employment requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

- Facilitate the onboarding program, which includes orientation materials, training schedules, and mentorship initiatives.

- Conduct regular check-ins with new performer recruits to address any questions or concerns and ensure a smooth transition into their roles.

- Continuously improve and refine the onboarding process based on feedback and industry best practices.

2. Internal Communication:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing timely and accurate information regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.

- Foster open and transparent communication channels between new recruits and various departments, addressing inquiries and facilitating smooth integration into teams.

- Collaborate with the PEO to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, addressing any payroll-related queries or issues that arise.

- Coordinate with department managers to gather feedback and insights on new hires' progress and performance during their initial months of employment.

- Support internal communication initiatives, such as company-wide announcements, newsletters, and intranet updates, to keep employees informed and engaged.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in recruiting, onboarding, and payroll administration, preferably within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in handling confidential information and documents.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.

- Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and MS Office Suite.

- Familiarity with PEOs and their role in HR administration is a plus.

- Self driven, willingness to problem solve

- Ability to have critical and courageous conversations

- Attention to detail and effective time management and prioritization
