Job Description
Duties And Responsibilities
Technical assistance
  • Support integration and interdepartmental workflows by coordinating with other sectors and departments, etc. as needed
  • Support write ups for assessments, project design, concept notes/proposals, donor reports and other identified needs
  • Prepare technical slide decks for presentations as needed
  • Ensure technical information is updated, organized and stored on SharePoint, IMC website and other relevant platforms
  • Conduct literature reviews and background research for various public health documents, policies, presentations, and guidance notes based on global priorities
  • Support program documentation through updated capacity statements, case studies, posters and articles for submission to peer reviewed journals as needed
  • Update and format various internal documents including TU strategy, workplans, minimum standards, guidance notes, etc.
Administrative Assistance
  • Provide support for capacity building activities such as regional and country level workshops, trainings, seminars, etc.
  • Work with Health Advisors to develop and implement global capacity building plans
  • Facilitate and manage Communities of Practice for global health teams
Representation
  • Remotely attend global level meetings, webinars, etc. as requested by Senior Health Advisors and provide summaries to contribute to various strategies
  • Participate in and actively contribute to at least one relevant technical working group
Qualifications
  • Must follow IMC security protocols and Code of Conduct
  • Typically, at least 1-2 years of experience in international health programming, low resource settings, humanitarian work or equivalent; experience in areas such as health communications, knowledge management, and capacity building desirable
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in French/Arabic/Spanish desirable
  • Ability to set priorities and work within given timelines
  • Typically, a bachelor’s degree in public health, health communications, international development, journalism, information technology or other relevant field; MPH desirable
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills with previous experience with writing technical documents, research papers, etc.
  • Must have strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with web-based collaboration apps and various social media platforms, desirable
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with different levels of staff
  • Ability to work within different cultures in a respectful, appropriate manner
SALARY RANGE: Mid $50's to low $60's
For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is as state above. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
