Examples of Work


The Office Technician


  • Duties may include greeting staff and outside community members, organizing, and cleaning conference rooms, keeping track of all state cars at the office, scheduling maintenance/trading cars when needed, receiving clients, entering data, filing, document imaging, sorting, opening mail, completing forms, copying, searching records, answering multi-line phones, and keyboarding.
  • Schedules, transports, or arranges transports for clients.
  • Provides information to clients and community members when needed.
  • Enters, retrieves, and researches information using agency computer systems.
  • Provides variety of direct customer services and perform paraprofessional/clerical support work for protection & safety casework.
  • Operate various office equipment such as scanning equipment, multi-line telephones and computers.


Qualifications / Requirements


REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.


PREFERRED: Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and NFOCUS; Internal and external customer service experience.


OTHER: Valid Driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


General office practices and procedures; computer office applications, systems, and programs; maintain records and files; scanning/imaging equipment, multi-function copy machines, multi-line telephones and other office equipment; perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Effective communication; English grammar and usage; understand human services practices and procedures; accommodate new methods; maintain confidentiality; sharp attention to detail; proofreading skills; accurate keyboarding skills; and predictable and reliable attendance.
