Job Overview

This position has responsibility for Internal Controls and Inventory Management (consignment & trunk stock).


The purpose of the role is to collaborate with the business to review and strengthen Getinge’s US commercial practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and statutes. There will be opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders and to influence improvements throughout the organization for both internal controls and effective inventory management. The position will be required to understand business processes, system workflows, and technology to be able to identify risk and to guide business owners in defining effective and value added risk mitigation plans.


The position will manage, coach and develop a direct report, including setting goals, objectives, performance management, and training and development.


Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties


Internal Controls:

  • Develop strong relationships cross functionally to fully understand the business and identify opportunities to mitigate compliance risk
  • Develop and manage a repository of documentation for all processes.
  • Collaborate with business process owners to monitor changes in the business, processes and systems to ensure timely updating of documentation (SOP, work instructions, etc.)
  • Develop and manage an annual review plan and conduct reviews to ensure alignment with documented process and to identify potential gaps. In partnership with business owners develop and implement remediation plans
  • Bring thought leadership and act as a subject matter expert in the design and implementation of processes while ensuring compliance risk is minimized. Build cross-functional relationships with Sales, Service, Finance, Legal, IT and Commercial Operations.
  • Provide training to influence positive change across the organization to develop stronger commercial practices
  • Identify compliance gaps with commercial practices. Collaborate with business on corrective action plans.


Inventory Management:

  • Overall responsibility for consignment & trunk stock
  • Develop KPIs to share with management along with recommendations to improve inventory positions and enhance controls.
  • Proactively identify ways to optimize inventory with a focus on minimizing write-offs and expirations
  • Responsible for the inventory process: manage audits, cycle counts, collaborate with Sales & Service on inventory levels, management reports, and manage inventory projects and initiatives.


Minimum Requirements

  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Finance, Audit, Operations, Risk Management, Compliance or related field.
  • Experience managing a small team preferred.
  • Big 4 Accounting firm exposure or large public company internal audit experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to travel periodically.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels across the organization.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills required.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry laws and regulations; GAAP and SOX financial controls.
  • Ability to influence across the organization without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Experience delivering presentations to various levels of management.


Salary range: Total Compensation= $125,000 - $145,000 depending on experience and location + 15% bonus target
