Illinois Residency Requirement: This position requires current Illinois residency to apply.
The department of Mathematics and Statistics is currently seeking an Office Manager to assist in the ongoing success of the department. This position is the primary point of contact and will act as a liaison on behalf of the Chair by answering inquiries and providing information to the Math Department faculty, staff, graduate assistants, student workers, and University students.
In this role, the Office Manager works closely with the Chair to make changes and process a/b forms required by the Dean's Office for the department. Responsibilities will include assisting Chair with overall course scheduling process for each semester, making changes to schedules as required by course loads and instructor changes, and planning, organizing, and reviewing student employee and Office Assistant projects. The Office Manager will also lead clerical activities for student employees and the Office Assistant within the unit, over see budget purpose accounts, and prepare onboarding paperwork for new faculty.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience comparable to the third level of this series.
