Job Description
SUMMARY: Receives incoming patients and telephone calls to the department. Receives new orders and schedules patients. Processes patients via registration, initiating medical record, and enters treatment charges. Types, files, and acts as a recording secretary for staff meetings.


Required Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent


Required Experience: One (1) year experience in a medical office setting; knowledge of medical terminology


Preferred Education/Training: Medical secretary training


Preferred Experience: Current Procedure Terminology (CPT) / Informational Classification of Diseases (ICD); coding insurance ability
