The Iowa Medical and Classification Center ( IMCC) is a multi-faceted correctional institution that serves as the male reception center for the Iowa Department of Corrections as well as housing a forensic psychiatric hospital, short term ambulatory/long term ambulatory (STA/LTA), special needs unit and a hospice unit to name a few. Nursing Unit Coordinators (NUCs) are a vital part of IMCC's operations. This position will work 1pm-9pm with every other weekend off. Prior experience as a CNA or medical assistant and medication certificate preferred.

Certified Nurse Aide/Orderly Certified Nurse Aide/Orderly licensed with Iowa Nurse Aide Registry

Minimum Qualification Requirements

The equivalent of two years of full-time clerical work experience involving the use of medical terminology;

OR

employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of one year of full-time work experience as a Resident Treatment Worker, Pharmacy Assistant or a position providing nursing care or clerical work in a state institution providing medical services shall be considered qualified.
