Job Title: Nursery Multi-Site Assistant Farm Supervisor

EXEMPT: Yes DIVISION: Live Operations
SHIFT: As Needed LOCATION: Guymon, OK
REPORTS TO: Multi-Site Farm Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE
Plan, direct, and coordinate day to day farm activities and staff to ensure all daily and weekly production targets are met. They supervise multiple sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
  • Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures, develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods, providing constructive and timely feedback, and offering opportunities for individual growth.
  • Perform audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Creating and managing employee work schedules if applicable
  • Ensure health and safety of employees and animals at the facility, submit detailed reports, and track feed and ration staging for animals
  • Manage all controllable cost, including supplies, labor, medication, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm

PAY RATE:
Salary: $ 49,300

  • 401 K retirement program- Seaboard will match 100% of the first 3% contributed and 50% of the next 2% contributed to the plan after 1 year of employment.

REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily.   • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • An Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or 1-2 years swine production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.
