The Nurse Manager supports our mission and values by assuming responsibility for supervision and evaluation of nursing care for the Masonic Center for Health and Rehabilitation residents including Hickory Suites and Riverside Lodge.


What will I do as the Nurse Manager?


  • Maintain timely, accurate charts/records as required by regulations and facility policies and procedures.
  • Assist Admission RN with coordination of resident admissions.
  • Report or coordinate reporting changes in patient's conditions and needs to physician and Director of Nursing; including obtaining and transcribing orders as needed.
  • Assist and delegate with nursing participation in care plan family sessions for more complete input and follow through on all shifts.
  • Identify, propose, and coordinate specialized clinical programs per facility need or as delegated by DON.
  • Assist in the hiring and orientation of nursing staff.
  • Assign duties to, train, develop, coach and supervise Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Assist with follow up of all doctor rounds.
  • Complete or assign completion of nursing care, performing all duties of a staff RN when necessary.
  • Accept department on-call responsibilities.


What is required as the Nurse Manager?


  • Knowledge of OBRA, state and federal regulations as applied to long term care.
  • Able to frequently push/pull objects weighing 60 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects weighing 100 pounds or more.
  • Previous geriatric experience and two or more years supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office. Ability to learn and use computer applications as they apply to job duties.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Ability to direct, instruct and supervise licensed and other nursing personnel.
  • Must have valid CPR certification.
