Nurse Informaticist FTE: 1.0 Shift: Days

Job Summary:

• Under the general direction of the Team Specialist, Informatics, serves as the key liaison and coordinator for the implementation, maintenance and support of the clinical information systems installed at a Lutheran Health Network facility.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

• Current RN Licensure.

Experience:

• Five years of clinical nursing experience which included experience in computer based nursing systems.
• Additional education/experience in information services a plus.

Education:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• The minimum of a bachelors degree may be waived at hire in lieu of additional related experience and significant progress toward the completion of the degree. Offer would be made with the commitment of completing the degree within an agreed upon timeframe.

Job Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrates strong working knowledge of nursing practices and system software.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to interact effectively with internal and external customers as needed.
• Requires strong analytical and organizational skills in order to analyze, develop and document system and interface design and requirements in coordination with user needs and other hospital staff.
