Novice Cannabis Grower Jobs

Position Description:
Minimum age of 21 required
Working under the direction of the Cultivation Director, the Novice Grower(s) will be responsible for following the Standard Operating Procedures for all cultivation activities to ensure consistent quality cannabis products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Collaborate in daily cultivation tasks.
Monitor for quality control in line with company standards.
Working with the compliance manager, track and trace all activities and work performed including plant tagging and tracking, waste tracking, nutrient and crop inputs, harvest entry, and harvest batch tracking.
Support the sanitation of equipment and production areas, preparation and maintenance of nutrient reservoirs and irrigation systems.
Pre-harvest fan leaf removal in the flower room and recording of the waste.
Removing trellis netting, cutting down the plant, weighing the plant, and entering the wet weight into METRC.
Removing the waste fan leaves and hanging the plant for drying.
After the plant is dry, remove the flower from the stem and store for curing.
Monitoring the curing process and recording moisture content.
Trimming and sorting flowers for packaging.
Assure all cannabis products are free from contamination risk at all stages.
Monitor for quality control in line with company standards.
Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
One to three years experience in a potted plant nursery or cannabis industry desired.
Must be able to lift, pull and push 50 pounds and stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and squat.
Must be able to work in a highly pollinated environment and tolerate hot conditions.
