Night Auditor-Fairbanks, AK

Our Fairbanks Westmark Hotel and Conference Center Front Desk team is looking for an detail driven individual to fill our Night Auditor position. You will be responsible for the overnight auditing and accounting of financial transactions of the hotel.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of complex clerical and intermediate accounting tasks.
  • Answers calls from customers, employees, and management.
  • Routinely processes financial transactions and performs revenue audits.
  • Performs front desk duties for our late night guests.

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
  • One year of experience in positions involving bookkeeping or accounting.
  • High school completion or equivalent certification.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check that will include a credit check.
  • Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
  • Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized accounting hotel reservations and point-of-service systems.
  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including all company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, employees and customers with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work in an environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments, management, and staff.
