Network Technician - Service Assurance Knox
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our Service Assurance Knox team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of enterprise customer circuits within our network systems. This role involves working closely with a team and independently to ensure the seamless operation of network switching equipment. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel technologies, along with strong technical and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls while simultaneously working on assigned tickets, managing approximately 10 tickets per day.
• Take ownership of customer repair tickets, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain technical proficiency in Adtrin and Adva technologies, staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
• Execute installation and maintenance tasks on network switching equipment for enterprise customer circuits.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by demonstrating excellent customer-oriented communication skills.
• Collaborate within a fast-paced team environment and adapt to dynamic work demands.
• Monitor network operations, promptly addressing routine network monitoring issues to maintain optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Strong multitasking abilities and a proven track record of successfully handling high-pressure situations.
• Adaptable and motivated to learn, with a drive to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
• Associate degree or equivalent education with at least 2 years of experience in networking or relevant technical roles.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a team and fostering positive customer relationships.
• Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel technologies, demonstrating a sound understanding of network systems.
• Technical certifications in networking are a plus.

Additional Information

• Preferred Background: Candidates with experience as networking professionals, IT technicians, or roles related to networking and engineering are highly preferred. Experience with ISPs is a strong advantage.
• Remote Work: Most positions are fully remote, with the option to work in-office if preferred.
• Work Schedule: Swing shifts, Monday to Friday, 12-8 Mountain or Pacific Time. Flexibility for East Coast hours.
• Potential for Conversion: This position has the potential to convert into a full-time employment opportunity.
