The Network Manager, Provider Partnerships is a highly visible internal and external position responsible for collaborating with the Senior Network Manager, Director, Network Management and the Network Partnerships & Innovation team in developing, implementing and maintaining the Primary Care and Specialty Care Provider Partnerships network. The Network Manager, Provider Partnerships will support all activities to develop this new and innovative network of partner providers.
The Network Manager, Provider Partnerships plays a critical role in:
aligning, and implementing the execution of BCBSMA’s primary care and specialty care provider partnership strategy related to supporting and managing these provider partners
maintaining key business relations with our primary care and specialty care provider partners and managing day to day and strategic priorities with them
advocating and implementing continuous improvement and simplification for primary care and specialty care provider partners to conduct business with BCBSMA in order to improve the overall provider and member experience and promote the BCBSMA eTechnology offerings
contributing to a high performing Network Management team
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance our relationships with primary care and specialty care provider partners including local, multi-state and national providers.
Support Senior Network Manager and Director, Network Management with the expansion and the overall management of the primary care and specialty care provider partner network.
Support primary care practices interested in learning more about the mental health network or the collaborative care management model by collaborating with the Network Manager, Mental Health.
Support onboarding and other training needs of primary care and specialty care provider partners.
Act as a conduit of competitor and market relevant information affecting the primary care and specialty care provider partner providers and BCBSMA
Accountable for executing divisional and departmental strategies, working closely with the Senior Network Manager, Network Representatives and Network Coordinators and supporting their activities, as well as supporting the activities and strategies of the Director, Network Management
Responsible for ensuring that the immediate team and other departments that rely on the primary care and specialty care provider partner network are equipped with the tools and resources to properly refer members to the primary care and specialty care provider partner network.
Collaborate internally to ensure a cohesive provider experience with BCBSMA
Represent Network Management on internal BCBSMA workgroups and initiatives including but not limited to contracting meetings, project management meetings, operational workgroups and enterprise technology meetings.
Participate in provider contracting development, network development and product initiatives as needed and as required
Qualifications (knowledge/skills/abilities/behaviors):
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
Knowledge of the professional provider industry including local/regional/national nuances and plan and provider operations
Ability to anticipate and prepare provider network for changes in the health care market
Proven ability to establish and maintain durable and professional relationships with providers and other constituents
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills necessary
Must be flexible to balance and prioritize workloads, be persistent in accomplishing goals and self-motivated
Must be process and improvement oriented, and have keen ability to accept new ideas as opportunities
Education/Relevant experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of five years relevant business or clinical experience in health care setting
In-depth knowledge of primary and specialty care professional providers, competitive landscape and various health care reimbursement models

Salary Range: $90,090.00 - $110,110.00
The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
This job is also eligible for variable pay.
