Job Description

The Network Manager leads the enterprise-wide network operations strategy. The manager leads a team of professionals responsible for network operation services required to deliver necessary features, performance, and availability to support business activities.

Network Design & Implementation

  • Maintain contracts and relationships with vendors.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of emerging technologies. Research, develop and implement new data technologies that will enhance banking operations through efficiencies. Keep apprised of changing technologies through research and participating in educational opportunities or professional organizations.
  • Prepare financial information related to budgets, annual maintenance, monitoring and operational expenses.
  • Manage and coordinate work with vendors to procure network hardware, software, and network services.
  • Plan and design network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN and Wireless.
  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of Network Engineers Level 3 and Network Administrators Level 2 to ensure that the network is reliable, secure, and meets the needs of the organization.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network administrators.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against external and internal threats.
  • Evaluate and recommend new network technologies, products, and services.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage and configure enterprise-level network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
  • Analyze system functions and failures to isolate and define problem areas.
  • Drive project planning and execution, including network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.


  • Serve as the subject matter expert and provide guidance to IT and Information Security teams on all items related to network operations.

Operations Support, Troubleshooting, Incident Management & Escalation


  • Strong Experience of Network engineering and operations in areas of WAN, LAN, DC, SDWAN and Wireless Technology.
  • Monitor network system performance and track usage and develop and deliver a trend analysis of system load, usage, and response.
  • Storing knowledge with network storage, capacity planning, security controls, data center virtualization.
  • Negotiate and drive approval process for statements of work and vendor contracts/renewals.
  • In-depth knowledge of network security concepts and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, encryption, and authentication.
  • Ensure network connectivity SLAs and SLOs for network operations are met consistently.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the alignment of network infrastructure with business needs.
  • Strong Cisco Experience (Nexus Router and Switches)
  • Solid understanding of Cloud based technologies and trends’, IaaS, UCaaS (Public, Private Hybrid Clouds)
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Provide on-site and telephonic technical services necessary to ensure the continuing operation and optimization of the network.Lead audit participation and response on behalf of the Operations & Engineering network group, including tracking and resolution of issues and partake in disaster recovery activities.
  • Prior experience architecting, implementing, and administering advanced, Enterprise level LAN/WAN and Wireless LAN Network Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Direct a large number of complex IT networking initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to Senior Management.
  • Lead the effort in supporting Branch/Backoffice (SDWAN/DMVPN) and Data Center (Nexus) environment.
  • Work with senior management and IT personnel including CIOs and architects to ensure business alignment.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and provide guidance to IT and Information Security teams on all items related to network operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Perform diagnostic analysis of the network system, identify possible faulty devices, troubleshoot faulty modules, troubleshoot network problems and outages, and prepare necessary documentation detailing actions taken.
  • Maintain the network at the highest level of performance and availability.
  • Monitor the reachability of all connections within the network adhering to circuit restoral priorities and initiate troubleshooting to restore full network capability.
  • Handle extensive troubleshooting on day-to-day network issues and provide permanent solutions.
  • Strong Experience: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, MPLS, EIGRP, DMVPN, QoS, VRRP, HSRP, LACP, PAGP
  • Analyze and present monthly results, providing explanations to key variances to various levels of management in the Operations and Finance.
