Job Description

Employment Type: Candidates must be open to W-2 perm and W-2 contract positions (candidates hired as a W-2 contractor will convert to a W-2 perm employee after approximately 6 months).


Location: We have openings in Austin TX, Akron OH, Albuquerque NM, Oklahoma City OK, Morristown NJ, Pittsburgh PA, Reading PA, St. Louis MO, Kansas City MO, and Indiana.


Compensation: Hourly rate. OT is available at time and a half and during the busy season (Aug-December) 60-hour weeks are not uncommon. Performance-based annual bonus (individual goals and company performance). Employee Stock Option program. 401K with company match.


Schedule & Work Activities:

The base work schedule will be a 5 day work week (Monday through Friday) with some exceptions based on the office or project location. Periodic weekend work and extended workdays may be required. Business travel after regular work hours will be required. Night shift work may be required to support project execution.


Travel:

Candidate will be on the road 4 weeks a month. Once a month the candidate will have a Thursday and Friday off. In these instances, the candidate will fly home Wednesday night and fly back to the work site Sunday night. Candidate is able to go home on the weekends they are not scheduled to work. Travel will be nationwide to start before transitioning to your assigned region.


Summary:

The Associate Integration Coordinator will manage project teams to support the installation of rack or wall mount electronic equipment, make ready cabling, field engineering support, commissioning, and start-up solutions for project deliverables for client Networks, Integration & Automation (NIA) projects throughout the nation.


Job Duties:

• Manage advanced scope pre-engineering site visits per defined checklists.

• Manage testing checklists of cables, pinouts, fiber, feedline, automation points, etc. using applicable tools to include test fiber optic cables, toggle and test automation points at cutouts, test terminals, trace cables; ringtone if cable without tone, butt set for cable with tone, conduct loopback tests to remote ends, test radio feedline for coax and waveguide on device-based, electronic and application tests.

• Manage intermediate physical changes based on design specifications: inside building fiber, copper cabling via existing raceway, install rack- or wall-mount devices, jumper fiber, copper cables to devices / FDPs / patch panels, install/remove device SFPs, punch down low-voltage cables (66/110 blocks, RJ11 for phones, wire-wrap), etc.

• Manage troubleshooting on device-based, electronic and application tests making changes as needed to meet client specifications.

• Manage installation changes to and load device configurations based on troubleshooting.

• Manage site commissioning and client application verification according to industry accepted standards.

• Manage the review and update of advanced level as-built documentation for publication to client.

• Manage assessment of physical installation readiness for commissioning based on design standards and client specifications.

• Manage process of powering on of devices using standard panel breaker and rack fuses.

• Manage visual confirmation of successful device turn-up.

• Manage connection to devices and load base configurations per industry standards.

• Manage quality review and updates of physical level as-built documentation to meet client requirements.

• Establish and maintain relationships with client field staff on scope, progress, and return of removed devices. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.

• Prepare and present technical reports for clients.

• Manage the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.

• Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates. Report project performance.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department. Mentor and guide less experienced staff.

• Participate sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.

• Manage QA/QC process adherence.

• Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.

• All other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate/bachelor’s degree in information technology/systems, electrical/electronics, field/construction engineering or related degree preferred. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

• Experience in mission-critical environments (military, utility, industrial, transportation, etc.) or related field required.

• Expert understanding of electrical and communications systems and industry standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Expert analytical and problem solving skills.

• Expert troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad assignments and devise new approaches to problems encountered.

• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast paced environment.

• Must be able to meet the company's driving requirements.


Physical/Cognitive Requirements:


Physical - Work locations could include office-based or construction jobsites ranging from commercial to heavy industrial environments that include working in adverse climates, and extensive walking, requiring stairs, passenger use of personal hoists, negotiating work areas under construction, climbing permanent and temporary ladders, occasional lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit, talk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend. Specific vision abilities required for this job includes close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear and perceive the nature of sounds by ear. Must be able to safely operate motor vehicles. May at times need to access confined spaces or work locations at elevation requiring utilization of respirators, self-contained breathing apparatus, and/or fall protection.

Projects require occasional long hours and infrequent days off, occasional night shifts or moderate to long periods of working consecutive nights.
