Role: Network Engineer/CPE Reliability Engineer

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid) – must be already based out of ATL area and must be prepared to work onsite max 1 day a week

Start Date: August 2023

Duration: 1 year W-2 contract, potential for extension/conversion (no sponsorship or C2C)

Contract Pay Rate: $60-70/hour

We are seeking a talented and experienced Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the reliability engineering initiatives and ensuring the successful delivery of network and CPE reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, OSP, and CPE teams, to define and prioritize network and CPE reliability requirements, SLA requirements, and champion the implementation of best practices to enhance network reliability. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in reliability engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering reliable and robust products.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing product reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with customers, support teams, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into product improvement plans.
  • Define, prioritize, and communicate product reliability requirements based on customer needs, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Define reliability goals, establish reliability measurement and reporting capabilities, and manage vendors and stakeholders to achieve those goals
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in reliability engineering and bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Monitor and track product reliability metrics, identify trends, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including outside plant, product, and other engineering and technology teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and reliability analyses to identify potential failure points, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and drive reliability analysis and reporting.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and owner of reliability engineering initiatives for our Access and Core Network and CPE.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, assess, and address reliability risks and issues.
  • Proven experience as a reliability engineer, network reliability owner, or in a similar role, with a focus on delivering highly reliable products.
  • Solid understanding of reliability engineering concepts, including fault tolerance, failure analysis, risk assessment, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in defining and prioritizing product requirements using agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with reliability testing techniques, tools, and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong technical background in software development, system architecture, and infrastructure design.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in reliability engineering.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering results.
