Job Description

Murray Equipment, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced .NET Backend Developer for a new project involving the in-housing of an existing web application currently maintained by a 3rd party contractor. The company goal is to rewrite the web application into a product that is more scalable and maintainable. This developer will be critical in the application rewrite and ongoing support moving forward, as well as assist with other projects in the future. Candidates should have a degree in computer/software engineering or computer science with 3 years of related work experience.

This person will be responsible for the continued support of existing proprietary software, web, mobile, and or desktop applications as well as developing or assisting in the development of new proprietary software, web, mobile, and or desktop applications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Works directly with the software development team, mechanical engineers, customers, salespersons, and other project stakeholders to create new or to improve existing proprietary software.
  • Provides direct customer support when required.
  • Interfaces with both proprietary and off the shelf hardware (PLCs, meters, scales, RFID readers, etc.).
  • Develops new and existing proprietary web software products. May also assist with mobile and/or desktop applications.
  • Takes ownership and initiative over projects.
  • Develops estimates within given time and cost constraints to develop new or redesigned applications, or application enhancements.


Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 5+ years of related work experience or,
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative over projects and processes.
  • Experience with direct customer contact and support
  • Experience managing projects and processes.
  • Degree in computer/software engineering or computer science with three (3) or more years of related work experience
