Job Description
Overview:
GD-OTS is looking for an experienced NDT Technician-3rd Shift to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including; rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.
Major Position Responsibilities:
  • Support all xray/test/inspection processes and process improvements. Perform light troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Perform other related functions as directed by supervision.
  • Responsible for the set up and operation of xray machines to take radiographic images of multiple product lines.
  • Assist in the development of procedures and techniques.
  • Prepare xray/test/inspection reports as required.
  • Assist other technicians and Quality engineering as needed.
  • Provide recommendations to engineering and supervision for improvements of methods, products and facilities.
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Moderate bending/stooping, twisting/turning and overhead activity. Minimal squatting/crouching, kneeling, climbing, balancing, uneven work surface, awkward positions, and fume exposure. Lots of standing with minimal walking at winders. Frequent grasping, pinching, and pulling.
Basic Qualifications:
Current Industrial Radiography State Certification. Minimum - Associates of Applied Science Degree in NDT or equivalent training and experience.
