Who We Are Looking For
Global Brand Creative is looking for a Narrative Writer II to bring the Nike Kids creative direction to life through concepts and ideas that demonstrate their capabilities as a storyteller. You are, first and foremost, a strategic wordsmith who instinctively knows how to collaborate with narrative directors, art directors, designers, and creative producers to weave together stories. You possess a deep understanding of and appreciation for the written word and have a passion for imagination and play. You know how to interpret, re-think, and deliver stories against any brief. Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, you instinctively know how to partner with your creative teammates to bring forth ideas that will lead to compelling stories. You deliver creative concepts against seasonal and long-term strategies, manifestos, athlete* storytelling, product positioning, and messaging across all channels.
What You Will Work On
  • Write an array of consumer-facing copy (headlines, scripts, long-form, captions) which extends across a variety of results: social content, app stories, email, event invitations, retail signage, seeding kits, and more
  • Partner with external agencies or individuals on projects in a manner that is inspiring, inclusive, and respectful, while delivering outstanding work
  • Collaborate with the Brand Narrative Director, Art Director, Designer, Studio Managers, and Creative Producers through creative development, pre-production, production, post-production and creative delivery
  • Review project work for the highest standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, and successful completion
  • Steward end-to-end narrative development of premium and impactful storytelling, from strategic conceptualization to content/asset creation for campaigns and key brand moments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal Brand Marketing partners
  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively outstanding, and delivered in a timely manner
  • Partner closely with the Brand Narrative Director and business counterparts to craft the strategic vision for a project and distill that further to a sharp creative strategy that is inspiring and measurable
  • Conduct athlete interviews and attend photo/video shoots to help guide the narrative. Mentor voiceover talent
  • Keep up to date with emerging global trends in play, sport, parenting, design, culture, media, and technology as relevant to kids
  • Ensure our content meets and exceeds the highest standards: on-brand, culturally aware, authentic, kid-right, platform-right, distinctive and engaging
Who You Will Work With
This role reports to the Brand Narrative Director. Day-to-day, you will partner closely with the Senior Creative Director, Brand Narrative Director, Art Director, Designer, Studio Managers, and Creative Producers. This role also maintains relationships with colleagues in Brand Marketing, Consumer Direct Marketing, Brand Experience, and Global Product.
Outside of Nike, you will collaborate with a range of individual creative partners and external agency partners.
What You Bring
