Job Description
EA Music is responsible for the pursuit, creation, and continuous development of the global vision for music used in all EA games, as well as all music marketing efforts associated with EA games. You will report to the President of Music and support the Head of Production on all music licensing and originally composed production needs across all games and trailers. You will also manage the Music Department's accounting process for music management, marketing and composed music expenses. Additionally, you will support the Head of Marketing on management and reporting of music-driven beats and executions. There is the option to work remotely in this role in the state of Tennessee, Georgia or Orlando.
Responsibilities
PRODUCTION
  • Collaborate with external vendors to prepare assets for implementation, including song translations and edits to meet ratings and guidelines.
  • Manage production assets across all licensed titles, including final artist and partner approvals, league approvals and delivery of final audio files and chyrons to the dev teams.
  • Coordinate internal review & approval of lyrical content aligned with ratings and guidelines.
  • Oversee Award submissions for licensed soundtracks and marketing projects.
  • Coordinate and track soundtrack announcements across all titles.
  • Communicate with external partners to secure assets for soundtrack implementation.
  • Coordinate recording sessions for original songs, re-records, and other original production needs, including all scheduling and payments.
  • Music research for creative and licensing support, including artist backgrounds and copyright information.
  • Daily management of incoming music submissions.
  • Tracking of music pitches, licensing progress and production status across all licensed music titles.
  • Manage production calendar, communicating deadlines and deliverables across multiple productions.
ACCOUNTING
  • Database management across multiple game titles, covering composer fees, orchestra, music contractors, mixers, engineers, studios payments, milestones and game related information.
  • Orchestral scores vendors and invoices in connection with recording sessions, musicians, and composer fees.
  • Marketing vendors and invoices in connection to appearances, performances and other promotional executions with music talent.
  • Trailer composers and vendors invoices.
  • Work with Finance partners on payment reporting.
  • Provide budget updates and progress reports to the Head of Production and music leadership.
  • Maintain a database of Composer and Remixed Music agreements, Work Orders, and other music related contracts.
  • Process music-related payments that include:
  • Recording sessions vendors and invoices for the creation of original songs, covers and re-records.
  • Track and process payments against project deadlines and fiscal calendar milestones.
Qualifications
  • Solves problems critically and systematically.
  • Understanding of basic Accounts Payable procedures.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, ideally in the recording industry.
  • Experience with database management and payables processes.
  • Knowledge of music industry operations and practices.
  • You are a conscious planner that can manage projects, aware of what to focus on and when.
  • Experience with project management tools i.e. Airtable, Monday.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in production, music accounting or related fields.
  • You can monitor and check work or information, while organizing time and resources.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and other data software i.e. Excel, Google Sheets.
