Music And Drama Teacher

Graland Country Day School is seeking a full-time music and drama teacher for Grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year. The successful candidate will be an experienced performing arts teacher who understands school environments and the unique needs of both lower and middle school students. This educator will thrive when working collaboratively, has innovative ideas, integrates learning, and is skilled at building relationships with students, faculty and families. Additionally, the teacher should be experienced at creating a culturally responsive classroom.
Other responsibilities may include writing report cards, helping to chaperone day and overnight trips, curating student performances, supporting team productions throughout the year, sponsoring clubs and working with the Gates Innovation Lab. The performing arts curriculum at Graland blends best practices in traditional and contemporarypedagogy with experiential and innovative instructional practices. Gralands curriculum is scaffolded from year-to-year and often integrates with core classroom curricula.
