Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Retail Processor to join our team! As a Retail Processor, you will play a vital role in facilitating the mortgage loan process, ensuring a seamless experience for our valued customers. Your responsibilities will include coordinating loan files, communicating with various parties involved, and assisting with administrative tasks and special projects. Summary Of Role And Responsibilities
Prepare loan files for underwriting review by collecting and organizing necessary documentation from borrowers, realtors, and title companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate the appraisal process by placing orders through the Appraisal Management Company.
Verify borrowers' employment history, income, and assets using reliable third-party verification systems.
Order title insurance documents to establish a clear chain of title.
Request condo documentation from homeowners associations to confirm financing eligibility.
Assist borrowers in finalizing home insurance policies, ensuring proper coverage and mortgagee information.
Serve as the main point of contact for customers, collecting additional documentation as needed.
Oversee the loan closing process, scheduling closing dates and verifying final numbers with borrowers.
Keep customers, realtors, and title companies informed of loan status updates.
Complete various research, reports, and memos as requested.
Participate in special projects such as social media marketing, direct mail marketing, and blogging.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Intermediate knowledge of current loan and underwriting guidelines.
Comfortable working with a high volume of internal and external customers.
Proficient in navigating Loan Operating Systems.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
