Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Processor to join our dynamic team. As a Retail Processor, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and facilitating the mortgage loan process from application to closing. Your responsibilities will also include handling administrative duties, special projects, and acting as a liaison between all parties involved in the home buying process. Summary Of Role And Responsibilities
Prepare loan files for underwriting review by collecting necessary documentation from borrowers, realtors, and title companies, and uploading them to our system.
Review submitted documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with our file requirements, and organize it within the system for streamlined review.
Coordinate the appraisal process by placing appraisal orders through our trusted Appraisal Management Company.
Verify borrowers' employment history, income, assets, and other relevant information through reliable third-party verification systems.
Order title insurance documents from title companies to ensure a clear chain of title.
Request condo documentation from homeowners associations to confirm eligibility for financing.
Assist borrowers in finalizing their home insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and accurate mortgagee information.
Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service and collecting any additional documentation as needed.
Oversee the loan closing process by scheduling the closing date with all involved parties and verifying final closing numbers with borrowers.
Keep customers, realtors, and title companies informed of the loan status through timely and proactive communication.
Complete miscellaneous research, reports, and memos as assigned.
Contribute to special projects such as social media marketing, direct mail marketing, blogging, etc.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Intermediate knowledge of current loan and underwriting guidelines.
Experience working effectively with a high volume of internal and external customers.
Comfortable navigating Loan Operating Systems.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on collaboration and organization.
Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
