Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to review and evaluate all residential loan applicatin packages to ensure all supporting documentation is accounted for and in good order. Also to understand, comprehend and maintain all regulations of the Bank and Investors.
  • Review Appraisals to ensure conformity to bank and regulatory guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned or directed
  • Participate in wiring procedure
  • Prepare loans to proceed to closing table
  • Validate documentation received to clear conditions for lending
  • Cooperate with other members of department to achieve department goals
  • Utilize the Bank's loan origination system to reveiw applications and supporting documentation for inclusioin and completeness
  • Manages a pipeline of loans in process to promote quality service and efficient loan closings
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Cooperate with employees of other departments to provide quality service, solve problems and achieve bank goals
  • Communicate with borrowers, lenders and appropriate vendors to obtain information per requirements associated with loan
  • Provide guidance to underwriters regarding procedures required to take action on problem loan applications
  • Complete verbal on all loans – including contacting employers
Qualifications:
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills
  • Two (2) years of mortgage experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and work effectively under time constraints
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Associates Degree or equivalent mortgage processing or legal office real estate closing experience required
  • Ability to analyze and interpret income, assets and credit
  • Research and problem solving skills
Other Job Information:
Hours:40.0 hours/week. Some overtime hours required
